Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Detox Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to our patients. Your expertise will contribute to patient care and support the overall health and well-being of those we serve. This position requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
  • Maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, following all safety protocols.
  • Support patients with special needs, including those with disabilities or requiring special education assistance.
  • Engage in crisis management when necessary, providing support to patients in distress.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in behavioral health settings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document medication administration and any relevant observations regarding patient responses.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills related to PTSD care and social work.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program.
  • Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and medical records management.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with behavioral health challenges is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and understanding towards patients facing crises or requiring special attention.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate medication dispensing.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the pharmacy field.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
