ACI Federal Inc. is actively recruiting experienced Certified Nursing Assistants for an immediate placement at a distinguished Rehabilitation & Nursing Center client in Vestal, NY.
CNAs play a crucial role as the foundation of nursing care, providing essential support to residents in a long-term care setting. They are responsible for various tasks aimed at ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents.
Typical Job Duties:
- Responding promptly to call lights/bells and addressing resident requests.
- Assisting residents with activities such as bathing, shaving, dressing, and providing oral and nail care.
- Serving meals, assisting residents with eating, and recording intake.
- Taking and recording vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation level.
- Maintaining records of care, observations, resident profiles, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Reporting any deviations in a resident's condition to the Charge Nurse.
- Observing and documenting the condition of skin, hair, nails, and mouth.
- Performing passive and active range of motion exercises.
- Transferring residents to and from bed or chair, ensuring proper body alignment.
- Participating in resident socialization and unit activities.
- Maintaining cleanliness and neatness of resident rooms and equipment.
- Participating in infection control programs through proper handwashing, avoiding cross-contamination, and using isolation techniques as required.
- Reporting incidents and accidents to the Charge Nurse.
- Assisting in orienting residents to the facility environment upon admission and as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a New York State certificate of completion of Nurse Aide Training Course.
- Certification by reciprocity from another state, following New York State regulations.
- Ability to pass New York State Department of Health Criminal History Record Check.
