ACI Federal is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a crucial member of our organization, you will play an integral role in ensuring the seamless operation of our physicians', podiatrists', chiropractors', and optometrists' offices and clinics. This multifaceted position involves a diverse range of administrative and clinical responsibilities, requiring a commitment to excellence and a dedication to upholding the highest standards of patient care.

Facility Location: Tarrant County, TX. Local hires only. No travel hires at this time.

Shifts: Monday-Friday: 8 hour shifts


Administrative Duties:

  • Reception duties, including answering phones and providing excellent customer service.
  • Efficient appointment scheduling and management.
  • Welcoming patients, completing intake forms, and offering clear instructions.
  • Office Management:
  • Record keeping, accounting tasks, and proficient handling of correspondence.
  • Utilization of computer applications for patient billing, transcription, scheduling, and insurance claims.
  • Accurate processing, coding, and completion of insurance claim forms.
  • Facility Maintenance:
  • Proactive management of supplies and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
  • Professional interaction with patients, the general public, and medical personnel.
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality standards outlined in HIPAA guidelines.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Adherence to all OSHA safety standards, including proper disposal of biohazard waste.
  • Upholding a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment.
  • Effective Communication:
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills, including the proficient use of medical terminology.

Clinical Duties:

  • Health Treatment Assistance
  • Assisting in health treatments within the defined scope of CMA practice and protocol.
  • Monitoring clinic and patient flow, and efficiently triaging patients for urgent appointments/consultations.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Documenting problems and reporting critical issues promptly to the supervisor or physician/provider.
  • Serving as a meticulous medical scribe to ensure accurate recording of medical information.

Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and lab processing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
